NEW SCHOOL
This period were born at the end of XIX century and first time XX century in Europe and one countries of America an Asia. To understand new school we have to recognize some historical root sthat allowed this movement to emerge: technological-Industrial develop, met, democratic sentiment, scientist education, interest of the public opinion and education extension.
We have to distinguish between infantil and primary contents. Infantil contents are throw and catch a ball, do quickly movements, imagine monsters, use scissor, copy some capital letter, understand the difference between “same” and “different”, remember part of a history, use forks, spoon and knifes, understand the concept of “time”... However, primary context are linguistic communication, mathematical, science and technology, digital, learn to learn, social and civic, sense of initiative and enterprising spirit, and conscience and cultural.
The aims of new school are th students self-stem, school community, cultural diversity, student creativity and educational quality. The methodology to achieve it’s aims are cooperative works, social integration, the teacher is an active observer, good atmosphere, positivism, multiple intelligence...
The main representative author is María Montessori’s who focused her theory in four aspects: own learning, interesting things, experience and sentsitive periods.
At the present we have to be conscience of the importance of globalization, socialization and technologies.
From my point of view, new school is in our present. We want to improve with this methodology to purchase skills and competences. The methodology of María Montessorie is in lots of schools because it achieve goals.
