Visits

VISITS   We did two exits in this subject. One of them we went to the museum of education at University of Complutense where we could observe the education of the past and the present. It was very interesting to know all the instruments that are used to teach. What I liked the most was the reality map since it seemed very original to me. The second visit was to a museum of educational books. There a writer he talked about the differents theories of education. He emphasized on Maía Montessorie who defended the own learning process. It was interesting as we learn lots of important aspects.

Theories of emancipation

THEORIES OF EMANCIPATION  Theories of emancioations want to seek answers to the existencial problem of man. That is why education becomes an exercise of awareness of personal and social reality to eradicate illiteracy an d ignorance. The main purpose of education is to transmit values and prepare the human being and it emphasizes the importance of the teacher figure in the interpersonal relationship with students. The main representative author is Paulo Freire who transmitted the pedagogy of hope and he supports the dialogue principle. From my point of view, theories of emancipation are developing in our lives because we want to eradicate illiteracy and ignorance to be critical and creative.

Deschooling

DESCHOOLING  Deschooling proposes an education alternative of homeschooling. However, deschooling does not mean to stop learning. In our country, Spain, Deschooling is not legal. It is a way of looking at children and at life so it is based on trust that parents and children will fin the paths. The methods of Deschooling are: playing, household responsabilities, personal interests and curiosity, travelling , books, elective classes, family, mentors and social integration. The main authors are Ivan Illich and Paul Goodman. The first one, replace the school as a large knowledge bank by technological institutions in which every one would have a credit. However, Paul Goodman has some proposals: school not compulsory, class attendance should be free, school descentralization and create small school units. To sum up, unschooling provides a unique opportunity to develop in a mature environment. From my point of view, Deschooling it is a self-directed education but it is neces...

The church has been very important in this ages because it solidez source of moral and doctrinal principles. The aims of Middle Ages were three: they wanted a theocentric social action inspired by the church, they wanted that the fundamental end of education has to be the practice of good and they were reaching the eternal happiness.  The main representative author was Thomas Aquina because he thought the common benefit for all. From my point of view, in this period the common people were slaves of the knowledge of the church.  The practice that this group used to make us better understand their exposure was a Kahoot.

We have to change some little things and add some important information like deschooling in Spain and the different between deschooling and abandoment. It was a productive and interesting experience.
